Elevator Discussion / Re: OLD 70S MITSUBISHI GOT MODDED!
« Last post by ningsama on Today at 11:07:25 AM »
A department store in Osaka, Japan had spme very nice mitsubisi lifts with RARE CAPACITIVE BUTTONS! And, the next time i came, THEY HAD BEEN MODDED INTO NEW MITSUBISHI NEXIEZ
MR's! While the new lifts are not bad, I certainly prefer the rattliness and oldness of the old lifts. I haven't seen one of these since. And did I mention that these have the rare 1st gen Mitsubishi voice?

Any proofs?

Nice elevator. The buttons remind me about Kone elevators with similar fixtures that are found in my country.

That one is not K-Delta like in your hometown, it's Sigma fixtures, which might not be found in Asia.

KONE make a version of this fixture line with the buttons in black as well, so that might be the ones you are thinking of. Or it could be the K-Delta/Delta fixture lines which are similar.

This one is actually Sigma fixtures, which is different from Delta/K-Delta, based on the wiki.

That's excellent but should there be the usual hole at the top for the cables to go through?

If that's possible could then a simulated motor be added to them as well?

I would think the the modernization is required for the current safety code (such as EN81-20 and EN81-50), with the requirement of Ascending Car Overspeed Protection and Unintended Car Movement Protection.

Announcement on Fonts

This question is regarding the fonts that I am using for the thumbnails that are for the YouTube videos that I am uploading. I have been using Arial 36 font for every upload that I have done, but could I use some different more eye-popping fonts? This will depend heavily on copyright by whoever made the fonts, but are there any that are not copyright strict on what is used? Any suggestions on what good fonts are available would be nice.

There is some compatibility issue with this building with the latest build that I have installed (April 14 2018 build). It is as follows below, with the attached building below as well for reference:
Code: [Select]
Script error on line 572: Floor altitude is invalid
Filename: coalham townhall.bld
Context: Floor range 1 to 2
Iteration Number: 2
Line Text: <EndFloors>

It would be a lot easier if YouTube's annotations were still around. Then you would be able to add annotations to be able to direct the user to different videos, which would act as the different floors, elevators, etc. It would have probably been just like this:
Snipped

Nonetheless, this is still a cool idea, even by only using the end cards. Keep it up, I'm excited to see what you can come up with.
Yeah I have an idea as to how I can make the end cards work well, I think that those are gonna end up being the biggest challenges when it comes to getting it fully working when the clips are uploaded. :P

Overall Announcement: I will post an update when I start editing the clips where required.

Why must YouTube remove these very useful features like annotations? I know you can't use annotations and end cards in the same video now, but I don't understand why they removed them in the first place. Sure, the page says that annotations were getting far less interaction, but for things like an interactive lift-sim, they are much better in terms of dimensions.
