Very Loud Sounding Elevator Fan...
« on: November 04, 2017, 07:35:36 AM »
I found a youtube video of a elevator brand called "Cucchi Elevadores"
This is a showcase of an hydraulic elevator
but this sound very louder than the others brazilian hydraulic elevators (skip to 0:46 to hear motor)
this is actually fan :P

It's just a fan that's turns on when the elevator is moving, it doesn't sounds like an hydraulic pump.

That's just the fan. If you listen closely you can hear the motor a little bit just before the fan starts. It's a bit like this video, but with a different type of motor (Skip to 8:10).

  • Otis
  • ThyssenKrupp

Feel free to give me feedback on my buildings and my YouTube channel! ;D

That's a company from my country, Brazil, specifically Porto Alegre (which I have never been to). Hydraulic elevators are quite rare here since we are a post-MRL market, although you might find some Roped  hydros by Atlas or Atlas-Schindler here and there, principally Sao Paulo. About this elevator, its generic, its weird, it looks cheap, but probably does it for the application.
